Tottenham bin Sherwood - and his gilet!

Tim Sherwood's gilet was in the headlines almost as much as the controversial former midfielder during his time as Tottenham boss.

As well as being worn with a strange kind of pride by Sherwood, it was hurled to the ground during one match against Arsenal and then, on the final day of the season, handed to a fan as he sat in the White Hart Lane hot-seat.

But when Daniel Levy sacked his man on Tuesday, he made sure he'll never see the cursed gilet ever again!

Liverpool continue Anfield dominance

Tottenham were the latest team to feel the wrath of Liverpool's dominance at Anfield as Tim Sherwood's side slumped to a 4-0 defeat on Sunday.

The victory fired Brendan Rodgers' charges to the top of the Premier League, two points clear of Chelsea with six matches to go.

And Anfield looks likely to be the place where the title will be decided this season, with Manchester City and Chelsea still to visit.

Liverpool have won all but two of their home games in the Premier League this term and Rodgers believes Chelsea and Manchester City will be dreading the trip to Anfield.

"There is no doubt they [our rivals] understand this is going to be a real tough place to come," said the Liverpool manager. "We love playing here. The support today was incredible and that is only going to intensify as the season goes on. It works for us rather than against us."

Sherwood hopes Spurs switch on against Chelsea

Tim Sherwood has warned his Tottenham side that a repeat of their last away outing in the Premier League could see them on the receiving end of a drubbing against Chelsea.

Spurs face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge having failed to win their in the league since 1990, when Gary Lineker scored the only goal of the game.

And Sherwood has called for improvement after seeing his side stumble to a shock 1-0 defeat against Norwich City at Carrow Road before picking up a narrow victory at home against Cardiff City.

"If we play like we did against Norwich they're gonna need more lightbulbs for the scoreboard," Sherwood warned ahead of the trip to face Jose Mourinho's side.

Agent Sherwood battles Arsenal demons in Cup clash

Tim Sherwood takes his Tottenham team to the Emirates on Saturday evening but will have to quell a not-so-secret admiration for the hosts, Arsenal.

Sherwood has been seen on a talkshow discussing his affection for Tottenham's north London rivals, much to the chagrin of Lilywhite fans.

However, after a solid start as Spurs boss, he will be out to prove that his loyalty lies with his employers at White Hart Lane as the two clubs do battle for a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

No more Saddybayor under Sherwood

Barely used by Andre Villas-Boas but leading Tim Sherwood's Tottenham on a rise back up the Premier League table...it's Emmanuel Adebayor!

The Togolese front-man headed Tottenham in front at Old Trafford on Wednesday as Spurs defeated their hosts 2-1 and has registered four goals in five games since being reinstated by Sherwood.

It makes for stark contrast to life under Villas-Boas where he was reportedly frozen out and ignored by the Portuguese. But with the 36-year-old relieved of his duties, it has come down to the new man Sherwood to put the smile back on Adebayor's face.
